Don Loewel is the Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Pasadena City College. In this role, Don leads a team of experienced business consultants and entrepreneurs who advise businesses owners in areas such as: raising capital, strategic planning, legal, sales & marketing and financial analysis.
Don has 20+ years of sales, marketing and management experience in the medical device and software industries, and has consulted with small and mid-market companies to build long-term growth. As a trained Lean Launchpad educator, Don has helped countless founders test the feasibility of their startup ideas so they can launch sustainable and scalable companies. He truly has a passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve their maximum potential. Don has a BS in Biology and MBA from Santa Clara University.

Astrid Galvez is an Accounting/Tax Specialist for SBDC, she assist’s business owners with Tax Planning, Bookkeeping, and Accounting Software Technology. She runs her own bookkeeping practice and her passion is to help business owners run their businesses more efficiently using cloud based technology. But most importantly though, she is an excellent Salsa dancer and love to catch up with SVU episodes. Who doesn't love Detective Olivia Benson!

Larry Johnson has been a core advisor at the SBDC since 2012. His dual specialties are in the food & beverage industry, as well as debt and equity consulting. Larry is active after hours as a Rotarian in his local community and is also an aficionado of classical music and the LA Philharmonic. His weekend passions include golf, tennis and hiking the local mountains.

Albert Napoli has been a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California for the last seven years. He’s domain expertise is in Business for Non-Majors, Feasibility, New Venture Management and Entrepreneurial Family Business. Prior to teaching at USC, Albert worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors including launching, operating and selling his own private ventures. Additionally, Albert has a strong passion for small business advocacy. He has made it his mission in coaching and training small businesses on improving their business acumen so that they could bid on government contracts successfully.

Rithya Tang has a distinguished professional career as an economist, entrepreneur with businesses in the U.S. and abroad, financial advisor with investment and insurance licenses, and an executive at a private equity firm. Rithya earned his master's degree from UC San Diego ('04) and completed the Business Certified Appraiser course ('19). His role at the SBDC is to help business owners produce projections and receive coaching before asking for loans or investments from third parties.
